Electrospun Polyacrylonitrile/Polyvinylidene Fluoride/Boehmite Separator and Gel Polymer Electrolyte Polyethylene Oxide/Polyvinylidene Fluoride‐Hexafluoropropylene/Lithium Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide/Boehmite Composite Separator are Used for Fast Charging

With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, fast charging lithium (Li) batteries is attracting attention. However, rapid decline in battery capacity caused by and accidents Li dendrites piercing separator greatly restrict fast-charging applications. Herein, an electrospun polyacrylonitrile/polyvinylidene fluoride/boehmite (PAN/PVDF/12 wt.% AlO(OH)) gel polymer polyethylene oxide/polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene/lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide/boehmite (PEO/PVDF-HFP/12.6 LiTFSI /10 pressed together to form a two-layer functional designed. The improves high-temperature resistance entire due its special structure. After 1 h heat treatment at 220 °C, thermal shrinkage rate double-layer reaches 10.1%, showing good stability. At 0.2 C, discharge retention 99.4% after 100 cycles. 1000 cycles 10 remains 88% initial value. exhibits better superior performance than PP, providing effective approach for commercializing separators.
